Remember when I said that I was going to be posting regularly? Well, I seriously underestimated how busy my summer would be. Life has been crazy and blogging has taken a backseat. Things will (hopefully) calm down soon. For now, here’s an update on what’s been going on.

In the words of Veronica Farah, my internship is “amazing and exhausting and terrifying and exhilarating.” I have never been so happy or so tired. Work takes up a lot of my time so I haven’t been able to do a lot of “fun” things but it’s definitely been worth it.

It’s my favorite part of the tennis season! Wimbledon whites make me happy. Watching Serena get into the second week of Wimbledon 10 months after giving birth makes me even happier. Unsurprisingly, I’m still obsessed with Serena & Federer. I’ve been anxiously watching all of their matches and I’ve managed to get some of the people I work with to watch them too. I think my predicted winners are obvious.

Wanted: new friends because all of mine decided to graduate. I’m still annoyed that so many people aren’t going to be in St Andrews next year but I guess I’m happy for them… On a serious note, I’ve seen so many friends from high school and I have standing facetime dates with the ones who are far away. X and I have found a new normal but a part of me is over trying to make the friendship work. Other than that, my friends are great and my heart is happy.

Because I’ve been so busy, I haven’t read as much as I’d like to but I’m trying. I just finished Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi and loved it. I’m going to start A Simple Favor by  Darcey Bell this weekend. Let me know if you have any must-read suggestions.

I’m taking the LSAT on July 23 because I obviously hate myself. I’m so tired of prepping for it and I can’t wait for it to be over. Prayers and positive energy would be appreciated.

After months of obsessing and driving everyone crazy by constantly playing the soundtrack, I am finally going to see Hamilton tomorrow. I can’t express how excited I am. I’ll write more about it in my July favorites!

I think that’s everything for now. Sorry again for disappearing on y’all! I’ll try my best to keep blogging regularly. Please yell at me if I don’t. Bye for now!

  1. Welcome to the ‘Adulting’ club and trust me when I say even technology does not like the word – it tried to ‘Auto Correct’ it to ‘Adultery’ – technology could not be more scary predictable of us humanity! You sure have been busy but glad to hear you are going to Hamilton. Can’t wait to read more about it in your July updates. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Good luck on your LSAT! This summer has been pretty hectic for me as well because of my internship so I fell behind on regularly posting. The one thing we are never prepared for but have no choice but to experience is adulting.
